Growing up in a small East Texas town, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of injustice. From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a lawyer—not just to practice law, but to stand up for those who couldn’t fight for themselves. That conviction drove me to work tirelessly through college and law school, determined to make a difference.
I began my legal career on the defense side, representing corporations and their insurers in lawsuits brought by individuals who had suffered harm. But within two years, I saw the stark reality: corporate greed and dishonesty often took precedence over accountability. It was a defining moment in my career. I knew I was on the wrong side. I wasn’t meant to protect corporations—I was meant to fight for the people they harmed.
One case in particular cemented that realization. I was assigned to defend a fast-food restaurant in a tragic case involving a six-year-old boy who fell from a playground slide and died after striking his head on a concrete surface covered by a mere half-inch of astroturf. The evidence was damning: internal documents described the playground as a “death trap,” yet nothing was done to prevent the inevitable. Sitting across from the boy’s mother during her deposition, I saw the unbearable grief in her eyes. Her words carried the weight of unimaginable loss. That moment changed everything.
From that day forward, I committed my career to representing individuals and families who have suffered catastrophic injuries or wrongful deaths due to negligence, defective products, corporate misconduct, and unsafe medical devices and drugs. For over 25 years, I have relentlessly fought for those who might otherwise be silenced by powerful companies with deep pockets and aggressive legal teams. I’ve taken on—and beaten—some of the largest corporations in the country.
What sets me apart is my approach to litigation. I see solutions where others see obstacles, often taking on cases that other attorneys have rejected and finding innovative, outside-the-box strategies to achieve justice. My passion lies in giving a voice to those who have been wronged, ensuring that they are heard, and holding those responsible accountable.
Today, my practice is dedicated to fighting for individuals and families nationwide in cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, defective products, premises liability, medical malpractice, toxic torts, and corporate negligence. Because justice isn’t just an ideal—it’s a fight worth winning.
