About Trial Lawyers United
We represent individuals and families in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and mass tort matters across the United States.
Who We Are
We represent people nationwide in high-stakes personal injury and mass tort litigation. We are honored to stand behind individuals who have been harmed through no fault of their own – giving them a voice, fighting for their rights, and working tirelessly to secure the justice and dignity they deserve. Our firm is defined by the relentless pursuit of justice – we do not stop until every avenue had been explored, and every client has been made whole for the injuries that they sustained.
Our founding attorneys include a former Briefing Attorney to the Texas Supreme Court and trial lawyers who have litigated catastrophic injury cases for more than 75 years. That combination of appellate precision and courtroom experience shapes everything we do: we build cases that win at trial and withstand appeal.
TLU is headquartered in Arizona and represents clients nationwide, associating with local counsel in jurisdictions where required. Our attorneys are admitted in multiple state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Our Approach to Litigation
We prepare every case as if it will be tried to a jury. That is not a marketing slogan — it is an operational decision that drives how we investigate, staff, and prosecute each matter.
Early, aggressive evidence preservation.
Spoliation letters, black box downloads, scene investigations, and expert inspections begin before the defense has time to control the record and the story.
Senior attorney involvement at every stage.
Our attorneys do not delegate case strategy to paralegals or contract lawyers. The lawyers who evaluate your case are the lawyers who will depose witnesses, argue motions, and stand before a jury if necessary.
Scientific and expert-driven case construction.
We retain medical specialists, engineers, economists, and industry experts whose analysis underpins both settlement negotiations and trial presentations.
Appellate awareness from day one.
With a founding attorney who served the as a Briefing Attorney at the Texas Supreme Court, our litigation strategy accounts for appellate preservation at every stage. We protect the record so that a favorable result holds up on review.
What Makes TLU Different
Why Clients Choose Us
Justice isn’t just a principle. It’s our mission for every client we represent. Our firm combines the skill of nationally recognized trial lawyers with the compassion of advocates who never forget what’s at stake: your future, your health, and your family.
We have tried cases — and changed outcomes.
Our attorneys’ litigation has resulted in criminal charges against negligent trucking operators, forced consumer safety warning changes by a major natural gas utility, prompted safety overhauls at sporting venues, and recovered more than $20 million for the federal government through whistleblower litigation.
We lead, not follow.
In mass tort and MDL proceedings, we contribute to bellwether selection, discovery strategy, and expert development. In individual cases, we develop original theories and pursue creative approaches that other firms may overlook.
We handle referrals with integrity.
Many of our cases come from referring attorneys who trust us to handle complex matters their firms are not equipped to try. We communicate transparently with referring counsel, honor referral agreements, and treat every co-counsel relationship as a long-term professional commitment.
A Firm Built for the Cases That Matter Most
- Catastrophic Personal Injury: Trucking crashes, industrial explosions, oilfield accidents, premises liability, brain and spinal cord injuries, burn injuries, wrongful death
- Mass Tort Litigation: Dangerous pharmaceuticals, defective medical devices, toxic environmental exposures, consumer product injuries
- Child Sexual Abuse Litigation: Institutional abuse by churches, schools, youth organizations, and corporations
- Whistleblower and Public Safety Litigation: False Claims Act matters and cases involving systemic corporate fraud
Our Commitment to Clients
Every case at TLU is handled on a contingency fee basis. You pay no fees and advance no costs unless we recover compensation for you.
Beyond the fee structure, we are committed to a client experience that reflects the seriousness of what our clients are going through. That means direct access to your attorney — not a call center. Clear, honest communication about case value, timeline, and strategy. And a trauma-informed approach for clients in sensitive matters, including coordination with medical professionals and counselors.
For Referring Attorneys
If you are an attorney with a case that requires catastrophic injury trial experience, mass tort coordination, or MDL capability, we welcome the opportunity to discuss co-counsel or referral arrangements.
